Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) are working together on the provision of conductive regulatory and technological framework to support the provisioning of low cost and inter-operable branch-less/mobile banking services in Pakistan. PTA Invites Applications for TPSP; Issues IM for License & Authorization

PTA has issued an Information Memorandum (IM) explaining the entire process. Under the regulations mentioned in IM, Third Party Services Providers (TPSP) have been allowed to provide technical services for channeling, routing and switching transactions for mobile banking.
