PTA Raides Illegal Gateway Exchange in Lahore

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in its ongoing efforts to control grey traffic has unearthed an illegal gateway exchange in Lahore.

According to details, one successful raid against the grey operators was carried out along with FIA teams at Ichra Shopping Centre, Lahore. Illegal exchange comprising of one gateway, 16 ports, alongwith other equipments like CPU, switches, SIMs, Laptop and Modem of various companies were confiscated. One person was arrested on the spot, who is in the custody of FIA for further investigation,

The successful raids against the grey operators were made possible because of continuous monitoring, commitment and persistent efforts by PTA in curbing the menace of grey traffic thus curtailing the loss to the national exchequer because of grey traffickers in the country.
