Once again, PTCL Internet Down as Submarine Cable Gets Faulty. A fault occurred in one of the international Submarine cable systems providing internet bandwidth to Pakistan. Today many PTCL users are facing slow internet browsing and it is still unclear when this issue will be resolved.

A fault occurred in international Submarine Cable, IMEWE near Jeddah, Saud Arabia early morning today. Due to this fault, customers will experience slow internet browsing. Mr. Sikandar Naqi, Chief Business Development Officer PTCL informed that

the international consortium managing the submarine cable system has already started working to resolve the situation as earliest as possible. In order to minimize the service impact, PTCL has already undertaken necessary measures to arrange additional/alternate bandwidth through its other cable systems and international cable business partners. We have already told you that another international cable system SEA-ME-WE 4 is already under repair by the international consortium. Due to the fault in SEA-ME-WE-4 cable, many PTCL users were facing slow browsing at peak hours. For such inconvenience, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited(PTCL) apologized from all its customers.
