Punjab Govt Introduces Smart Lab and Multimedia Classrooms. Minister of Education Punjab, Rana Mashood visited the classrooms and smart lab yesterday. During his visit to the multimedia classrooms and smart lab, he said that the inception of digital content has discouraged the culture of rote-learning.

In these classrooms qualified teachers will use digital content having videos, animations, imitations and assessments to assist self-learning. Secretary Schools, Abdul Jabbar Shaheen, said this initiative was a part of trial execution of eLearn.Punjab .
The project includes a lab of 50 tablets for the nominated school. Students would be then capable to access the digital content. Monthly tests of students will also be piloted at the lab and the dashboards will show results online and in real time. Almost 600 plus students will profit from this venture while parents enthusiastically greeted the initiative. Rana Mashood also initiated Kids lab for nursery group students.
Punjab is leading in Pakistan with respect to its IT based reforms introduced in the education, health, police and other departments.
