Punjab Introduces Online App for Birth, Death, and Marriage Registration

The Punjab Local Government Department, in collaboration with NADRA, has launched a new CRM-based E-Registration App to digitalise civil record services across the province. This online app aims to make the registration of birth, death, marriage, and divorce easier, faster, and more transparent for citizens of Punjab.

The app was inaugurated by Provincial Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafiq, who said that people can now complete civil registrations from their homes without visiting government offices. This step is expected to reduce paperwork and long waiting times.

According to the minister, the application is directly linked with NADRA’s database. Once citizens enter their information, it is automatically updated at the national level. This integration removes the need for manual data entry and helps minimise errors and delays in official records.

Zeeshan Rafiq also said that the project reflects the government’s commitment to modernising Punjab’s Civil Registration System. By improving coordination between the Local Government Department and NADRA, the system will ensure more accurate and reliable demographic data.

He further explained that the E-Registration System is connected with Union Council offices throughout Punjab. This allows records to be verified and processed smoothly at the local level. It will also make the overall service more efficient and citizen-friendly.
