Last month, QMobile has hit the market with many smartphones, one of them was successor of QMobile Noir S3 i.e. “The QMobile Noir S4”. Being a successor of famous S-series which is truly known for good camera quality that we found in QMobile Noir S3.  So we expect that QMobile Noir S4 won’t disappoint and will crown itself for best photography.

The major changes have been made in camera section –the front and back camera have upgraded from 5MP to 8MP. Likewise, QMobile Noir S4 has added up 1000mAh more juice than Noir S3 which is now 3000mAh battery capacity.

The retail box carries all usual accessories, yet nothing new has been added. It contains data cable, data cable, 1.0A travel charge, screen protector, and earpieces.

Design of QMobile Noir S4:

QMobile Noir S4 is flourished with 5.0 inch HD IPS capacitive display. The capacitive display has 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and 320 dpi which improves display. The display looks more tint rather than natural, the colors are cool and tint too. Overall noir has decent display that doesn’t put strain on eyes, however colors are less sharp that’s why doesn’t look much vivid.

While talking about capacitive touch of display, Noir s4 has smooth touch in its line segment in term of price range and specs sheet. It is multi-touch screen with 5-point multi-touch support.

Design of QMobile Noir S4:

QMobile Noir S4 has compact body frame made of polycarbonate (plastic) and spreads on 144 x 71 x 9 mm. The body frame has enough space to place 3000mAh battery and still looks smart and handy.

Let me first introduce you to the front panel, on the front QMobile Noir S4 has 5 inch HD IPS capacitive screen –top and bottom has some area for input/output hardware. Thick bezel runs around the screen give extra protection to it.

The top of front side has earpiece at center, while next to ear piece is 8MP front camera on the left. There are couple of sensor are also there on top.

The bottom has nothing to carry, because the function keys are inside the capacitive panel, which is a bit irritating in use.

When we talk about the design, the edge has also important role in design. QMobile Noir S4 is 9 mm thick so the edge has 9 mm thickness. All the ports and other stuff are placed there.

The top edge of QMobile noir s4 is home to Audio jack and MicroUSB 2.0 port, while both the ports have been placed at some distance so that easily to be used.

Beside at right edge cutouts for volume key and power/lock button. At the bottom, the grill is there for speaker and second grill has microphone.

The back cover is removable gives access to SIM slots and micro SD slot. 8MP rear camera along with LED flash are flanked from round bumps.

Memory for QMobile Noir S4:

QMobile Noir S4 comes with 2G RAM and 16GB ROM out of box, and out 16GB, user is left with 11GB usable space –yet can be expanded upto 64GB via SD-card. On the other hand main memory i.e. Featuring 2GB RAM will definitely put its share in fast processing.

Rear Camera of QMobile Noir S4:

QMobile Noir S4 has 8MP back camera with LED flash, it captures the photo with 3,264 x 2,448 resolution. The camera is quick to launch and quick enough to catch the objects.

The image quality of QMobile Noir s4 rear camera is amazing good, sharp and colors are well captured with their natural shades and wave length.

Front Camera of QMobile Noir S4:

QMobile Noir S4 features 5MP camera on the front that is latterly amazing and impressive move from QMobile. It can also make FHD 1080p video that can be added as plus point.

The camera quality is though excellent for its given price range, in fact giving 8 MP front camera for the given price tag is a great step. We have tried to be professional with camera and captured some photos that have shared below.

Some pre-defined modes are listed as Face Beauty, Panorama, HDR, Gesture capture etc.

Network / Connectivity of QMobile Noir S4:

From the connectivity point of view, it supports all the HSPA band with dual SIM connectivity, yet the 4G LTE connectivity is not available.

It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n standard wireless connectivity, with that it has Hotspot too. The global positioning, the A-GPS module is embedded on Noir S4.

The QMobile Noir S4 is shipped with Micro USB port 2.0 and audio jack 3.5mm.

Battery Performance of QMobile Noir S4:

While going through specs sheet, you would have noticed that QMobile Noir S4 has few outstanding features including 3000mAh battery. But remember, QMobile Noir S4 has been shipped with 1.0A charge that would surely take 2 and half or more time to charge it fully.

As for as the battery performance is concerned, Noir s4 has answered to all  queries by providing giant 3000mAh battery which is more than enough for 5 incher HD IPS screen and Quad-core chipset.

Interface of QMobile Noir S4:

For system management, and configuration, QMobile Noir S4 has employed Android v6.0 (Marshmallow). Noir s4 using common android interface, home screen has same interface arrangement like status bar, and bottom has virtual function keys. The application menu toggle that opens menu.

Some pre-installed bloatware include Gameloft, Notes, Opera Mini, WhatsApp, Skype, and QMobile Care App.

Processor of QMobile Noir S4:

QMobile Noir S4 has employed MediaTek MT6580 processor.  Each core out of four run at 1.3GHz clock rate. The chipset’s architecture is ARM Cortex-A7. The processor belongs to mid-range family while it suitable for kind of device with 2GB RAM and 8MP camera installation.

Noir S4 plays with Mali-400MP GPU, that 650MHz graphics processing capability.

Antutu Benchmarking of QMobile Noir S4:

While testing the stability and performance of Noir s4 with Antutu benchmarking App. It successfully got 24K points which has met our expected score, because it has 2GB RAM, MediaTek MT6580 chipset with Mali-400MP GPU. All these are average specs that all together made noir S4 to attained 24K points.

Well, we don’t say its ground breaking performance yet appreciate the performance of Noir S4.

Vellamo Benchmarking for QMobile Noir S4:

In Vellamo benchmarking, the QMobile Noir S4 performance was good but wasn’t much impressive. It got 1100+ points in Multi-core test that is less than our expectation. In Metal9 (single core) test, the processor has managed to get 800+ points which is somehow good.
