In our busy routine, we all prefer the quick charge enabled smartphone with large battery capacity. As we all don’t have much time to charge our phone for hours. Keeping this thing in mind, Qualcomm is working on its Quick Charge technology. Last year, Qualcomm introduced Quick Charge 4. Now Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ Unveiled With Many Improvements Over Quick Charge 4.0.
Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ Unveiled With Many Improvements Over Quick Charge 4.0
According to Qualcomm, the Quick Charge 4+ is up to three degrees cooler, up to 15 percent faster and 30 percent more efficient than Quick Charge 4. Moreover, the company also announced that the first smartphone to use this new charging technology will be the Nubia Z17 from ZTE.
Qualcomm said in a blog post:
When Quick Charge 4 was announced, it promised to bring even faster charging than its predecessor, allowing a device to go from empty to 50 percent in just 15 minutes. We added new technologies designed to further extend battery cycle life, enhance safety, and expand charging intelligence. These features come standard with a device that includes Quick Charge 4.
Quick Charge 4+ has same features as Quick charge 4 has but some improvements.
- This technology has a dual charge feature with some improvements. Dual charge is divides the charge current, allowing for lower thermal dissipation and reduced charge time
- The next feature is intelligent thermal balancing via the coolest path is selected autonomously, eliminating hot spots for optimized power delivery.
- Quick Charge 4+ is designed to monitor both the case and connector temperature levels simultaneously. This extra layer of protection helps ward against overheating and short-circuit or damage to the Type-C connector.
According to Qualcomm, this technology will optimize the charging process by intelligently identifies the maximum amount of power charged by your device battery. Moreover, it will also prevent the phone from overheating. It intelligently lower the charging energy if your phone’s battery starts heating up.
