Rawat Police Bust Alleged Online Obscenity Network, Arrest 11 Including Foreign Nationals

Rawat police have dismantled an alleged online obscenity network accused of producing, live-streaming, and distributing obscene content through pornographic websites, arresting 11 suspects, including foreign nationals, during a raid in a private housing society.

According to police officials, the operation was launched after authorities received information that proclaimed offender Raza Atiq was hiding in a residence within the housing society. A police team conducted a raid on the property; however, the suspect allegedly managed to escape through a secret route after becoming aware of the police presence.

During the search of the premises, officers reportedly discovered seven women and three men inside a dressing room, where activities were allegedly being broadcast live through multiple cameras. Another individual present on the streaming stage attempted to flee but was apprehended by police.

The suspect identified himself as Li Guoliang, a Chinese national. Police said a search of his person led to the recovery of a 9mm pistol and ammunition. He was allegedly unable to produce a valid license for the weapon.

Additional suspects arrested at the scene included Li Shaoheng, also a Chinese national, along with Pakistani nationals Badrin Ahmed of Kotli and Saad Ahmed of Sector B-17. Seven women, including a foreign national, were also taken into custody.

Law enforcement officials recovered laptops, mobile phones and other electronic devices from the property. Preliminary examination of the equipment allegedly revealed explicit videos and evidence related to online broadcasting activities.

Investigators believe the group generated substantial revenue through live-streaming and the online sale of explicit content. Police allege that the operation was directed by the Chinese national identified as the gang leader.

According to initial statements gathered during the investigation, some of the women told authorities they had been lured with promises of employment. Still, they were later forced to participate in live-streaming sessions and video production activities.

A criminal case has been registered against the suspects, and authorities have expanded the investigation. Rawalpindi police have sought assistance from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to examine the digital evidence and determine the full scope of the operation.

Police spokesman Inspector Sajjadul Hassan confirmed that two foreign nationals, two Pakistani men and seven women, including a foreign woman, had been arrested. He stated that the suspects were allegedly uploading explicit videos to various websites and that further investigation could lead to significant developments and additional arrests.

Authorities said inquiries are ongoing to identify other individuals who may have been involved in the operation and to trace the financial transactions linked to the alleged online enterprise.
