Realme 16 Pro Key Specs Revealed Ahead of January Launch – Here’s What We Know So Far

Realme has confirmed several important specs of the upcoming Realme 16 Pro smartphone ahead of its official launch in some markets on January 6. The device will be part of the Realme 16 Pro series, which also includes the Realme 16 Pro+. With the launch date approaching, the company has been gradually revealing details to build anticipation among consumers.

Previously, Realme announced that both the Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ will feature a 200MP primary rear camera, positioning the series strongly in the camera-focused smartphone segment. The higher-end Pro+ variant will also include a periscope telephoto lens that supports 3.5x optical zoom, offering improved long-range photography. While the Pro model does not get the periscope lens, it still aims to deliver a premium imaging experience.

Realme has now confirmed that the Realme 16 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max 5G processor. This chipset is designed to offer strong performance while maintaining power efficiency. To further support sustained performance, the phone will include an AirFlow VC cooling system, which helps control device temperature during extended gaming sessions or heavy multitasking. According to Realme, the device has achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score of over 970,000, indicating competitive performance in its category.

The smartphone will pack a large 7,000mAh battery, which is expected to provide extended usage on a single charge. Although charging speed details have not yet been revealed, the battery size suggests a focus on long-lasting performance. On the front, the Realme 16 Pro will feature a 1.5K resolution AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display is claimed to reach up to 6,500 nits of peak brightness, making it suitable for outdoor visibility and media consumption.

In terms of software, the Realme 16 Pro will run Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0. The interface will include several artificial intelligence features, such as AI Recording for smarter audio capture, AI Framing Master for improved photography and video composition, and built-in Google Gemini support for AI-powered assistance.

The Realme 16 Pro will be offered in Master Gold, Pebble Gray, and Orchid Purple colour options. It will also feature an IP69 rating, providing high-level protection against dust and water. Pricing and availability details are expected to be shared at the launch event.
