Redmi Note 17 Confirmed to Feature 7-Inch OLED Display and 8,000mAh Battery

Redmi has officially revealed more details about its upcoming Redmi Note 17 ahead of its launch in China on July 14. The company has confirmed several key specifications of the Redmi Note 17, including its display, battery, camera, and a new color option.

Large 7-Inch OLED Display

One of the biggest highlights of the Redmi Note 17 is its 7-inch OLED display, making it one of the largest screens in the Redmi Note series. The display will support a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming, while offering up to 1,200 nits of global brightness for better visibility in bright environments.

Redmi also says the display includes multiple eye-care features designed to reduce eye strain during extended use.

Massive 8,000mAh Battery

Battery life is another major focus of the Redmi Note 17. The smartphone will come with a large 8,000mAh battery, allowing users to enjoy longer usage between charges.

The device supports 45W wired fast charging, helping recharge the battery more quickly. It also includes 22.5W reverse wired charging, enabling the phone to charge compatible devices using a cable.

50MP Main Camera

Redmi has confirmed that the Note 17 will feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera. While the company has not yet shared details about the remaining camera sensors, the main camera will surely deliver improved image quality for everyday photography.

New ‘Meteor Purple’ Color

Along with the specifications, Redmi introduced a new Meteor Purple color variant for the Note 17.

The rear panel features a unique design inspired by a meteor shower, giving the phone a stylish appearance with streak-like patterns across the back.

Expected Processor

Although Redmi has not officially confirmed the chipset, recent benchmark reports suggest the standard Redmi Note 17 could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor.

The higher-end Redmi Note 17 Pro will feature the newer Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, offering better performance for demanding tasks and gaming.

Redmi has already confirmed a few features of the Note 17 Pro. The device will include an even larger 9,000mAh battery and come with a five-year battery replacement guarantee, highlighting the company’s focus on long-term battery reliability.
