You can avail this service if your passport is expired. In other cases, your passport has not yet expired and it has seven months or less validity, the applicant can still apply in renewal category. How to Renew your Passport Online?

• Register your account.
• If you live in Pakistan, You will get an SMS and email code for registration.
• If you are abroad all required codes will be sent via email only.
• Then you have to create an application for Renewal of your machine-readable passport and have to provide details for your application.
• Provide your address for machine-readable passport delivery.
• Pay Fee through a Credit Card/Debit Card.
• Provide the required personal details.
• Provide your present and permanent addresses.
• Upload your photograph and the supporting documents required by the application.
• Download the form, capture the 4 fingerprints asked by the system.
• Set the scanner at 600 DPI, JPEG/JPG, and Grayscale. Scan and upload the form.
• Review the information you provided, sign the declaration and then submit the application.

The Government has also described the amount of time required to complete this process. According to the time mentioned on the official website, it only takes 16.5 minutes to apply for online passport renewal.

When processed the passports will be sent to the location given by the applicant within 10 days for a normal passport. An urgent renewal is processed in four days.

Pakistani Passport Renewal Requirements:

• Supporting documents
  • Color scanned copies of valid CNIC or NICOP or Smart CNIC or NICOP both sides
  • Color scanned copies of existing Passport (First two pages and one random page asked by the system).
  • Colored scanned copy of Valid Visa/ Aqama/ Residence Permit/ Asylum card/ Other Nationality Passport
• Photograph up to 5MB of size
• Fingerprint form
• Valid Credit Card/Debit Card for online payment of your application fee
