RIP Nest App: A latest Addition to Google’s Graveyard

Google has killed the Nest app for both Wear OS smartwatches and Apple Watch as most people are not using frequently the smartwatches to control smart home devices. Google’s Nest smart home products include thermostats, smoke detectors, and security systems such as smart doorbells and smart locks.

However, users will still get notifications on their watch with the app via your mobile device. Furthermore, users of Wear OS can also control their thermostat with the help of Google Assistant from any Wear OS device. The users of Apple Watch will also no longer be able to adjust their thermostat or change Home/Away mode from their watches.

Google Discontinues the Nest App for Apple Watch

According to a statement by a company spokesperson:

The search engine giant “took a look at Nest app users on smartwatches and found that only a small number of people were using it”.
