RIVO Rhythm RX40 Review

RIVO launches another smartphone to their Rhythm category with some basic and low end specs. The device is a budgeted smartphone with very little price of just Rs: 7200/=. The device is a competitor to the one launched by QMobile in the name of QMobile Noir X30. RIVO Rhythm RX40 Review reveals almost every angle of the device in detail.

Design:

The device has a fairly good look with its rectangular shape with almost pointed corners that isn’t curved roundly like do other smartphones have. The dimensions are 125 x 66 x 10 mm that is light in weight and has a small look with its 4″ IPS display. Rhythm RX40 comes in two colors, black and white and amazing thing is that the box contains both colored back covers so that you may have both tastes. In short, Rhythm RX40 is a handy device with small size, less weight and basic features that you can get with less price.

Display:

RIVO Rhythm RX40 has a 4″ IPS display that is said to be supporting High Resolution media with its 240 density pixels per inch which are very basic pixels. The dimensions for RIVO Rhythm RX40 are 480 x 800 pixels. Consult the display along with the smartphone when the Rear camera is turned ON. Also check for the wide angle camera that supports area greater up to some degree angle.

Rhythm RX40 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual core processor with Media Tek technology and with chip set number MT6572 that is basic processor with 3G support and with a dual core speed. It is a 32 bit type processor and the speed varies between 800~1200 MHz.

Network/Connectivity:

RIVO Rhythm RX40 Review shows the device been launched with 3G connectivity support. The MT6572 processors have a support of HSPA+ that gives you a speed of 2 Mbps speed.

Camera:

RIVO Rhythm RX40 has two cameras with the Rear one up to 5 MP and supported by an LED Flash light. The dimensions for its rear camera snap are 2880 x 1728 pixels which gets better images and preserves your memories where ever needed. The front camera is just a VGA camera with 720 x 432 pixels as its dimensions that is just good for video chats with social media like Whats app, Facebook, Skype and others.

The box contains a flip cover, a charger with RIVO’s logo along with a white USB cable and soft ear piece containing ear phones. The gadgets for RIVO have been best throughout that shouldn’t be left without been mentioned. The device comes with an extra genuine white back cover that can be changed when ever required.

Devices with 4″ display and dimensions of 125 x 66 x 10 are easy handled and well grabbed in hands with ease. Your thumb can easily touch any corner of the device. In short, the shape have been well maintained and is showcased quite well.

Experiencing the Internal Interface for RIVO Rhythm RX40 Review:

RIVO smartphones have their own customized interfaces as shown in the images below. The menu is shown once the menu button is clicked at the home screen. The icons are smooth and soft with better shapes. The internal storage is 4GB as shown in the third snapshot and the battery along with its graph and performance is shown in the fourth snapshot. The battery works for a day in its normal use with SIM and data active. In standby mode, the battery works for almost three or four days like the graph been shown in the last snapshot.

The device supports Dual SIM as shown in the first image and the rest of the snapshots show the general interfaces for writing a text message and dialing a contact number with blueish colored interfaces.

Bench marking RIVO Rhythm RX40 with standard apps for its performance:

The results for entry level smartphones are always low and they shouldn’t be expected to get more like the high-end devices. The device has been checked with Antutu, Vellamo and GPU benchmark and the results have been shown in the snapshots below.

Antutu’s approach in RIVO Rhythm RX40 Review:

With a 1.2 GHz Dual core processor and 512 MB RAM, the obtained 14 thousands score is better and efficient. The device is though not competing any of the international devices, yet the overall results are quite good as shown in the snapshots below.

To check an entry level smartphone for its single core, multi-core processor and for its browser will give you an entry level results as shown in the snapshots below. The browser performance will be low and will come to its halt position in the browsing mode. Same is the case with the processor’s performance. The device should not be expected for better output.
