Rumor: New MacBook Pro to Feature a Touch ID Sensor & an OLED Screen
It is being rumored that Apple is going to upgrade the MacBook Pro with a retina display in the upcoming months. According to well-informed expert Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities and 9to5mac, it should be much more than a specification knock.
Rumor: New MacBook Pro to Feature a Touch ID Sensor & an OLED Screen
The company wants to retain two screen sizes with a 13-inch model and to some extent more dominant 15-inch model. But these laptops should come in a solvent and lighter design, getting it nearer to the MacBook Air.
The retina MacBook Pro is approximately as thick as a USB port, or a Thunderbolt port, or an HDMI port, these three kinds of ports are more or less the same thickness.
Apple is already using the thinner USB standard in the 12-inch MacBook with a retina display. It also seems like the company doesn’t want to stop there. USB ports perhaps are going to become USB-C ports. But you can also make Thunderbolt-compatible USB-C ports, so Apple could also switch to USB-C design for Thunderbolt ports. In the same way Apple could take benefit of a USB-C port to drop the MagSafe connector.
According to reports, Apple is also thinking about adding a Touch ID sensor on your Mac. It will become easy and u won’t have to type your password again. But it could also open other prospects, like Apple Pay on the Mac for online purchases.
Apple may also add an insignificant OLED touchscreen above your keyboard. Whereas Apple has never made laptops with touchscreens, this slender touch screen would feature shortcuts and could change reliant on the app you’re using. This could be the most unexpected component of the new MacBook Pro.
The innovative MacBook Pro will have the new Intel Skylake processors. It could also feature a reshaped keyboard that would look similar to the Magic Keyboard.
