Apple has been at the center of public criticism for the past few weeks. And that is specifically about the performance of older smartphones of iPhones. Users complained that the company has slow down the processor in iPhones with old batteries. Samsung and LG Confirms not Slowing Down Old Phones.

After too much pressure Apple later admitted to the practice. And the company stated that it was to prevent older iPhones from unexpected shutdowns. Apple also apologized to their users for not communicating them on time.

While on other hand LG and Samsung have issued statements, in which they have given the confirmation that they don’t slow down ageing smartphone models. The reason behind these statements were the worries of people, that might be these brands also follow the same practices, but they deny it by passing the statements. However Motorola and HTC have already confirmed that they don’t follow these practices.

A Samsung Mobile representative said:

“Product quality has been and will always be Samsung Mobile’s top priority. We ensure extended battery life of Samsung mobile devices through multi-layer safety measures, which include software algorithms that govern the battery charging current and charging duration.”

A separate statement from LG on the specific matter is:

“Never have, never will! We care what our customers think.”

Apple has apologized and reduced the price of battery repairs from $79 to $29.
