Samsung Chief Lee Denies All Charges Against Him as “Trial of the Century”. Jay Y. Lee, the head of Samsung Group, has denied all charges against him yesterday in court. His lawyer called all those charges as the “trial of the century” and consider them a political scandal. Samsung Vice Chairman Jay Y. For those who don’t know about this case, Jay Lee was arrested in Feb, 2017 on on charges of bribery/corruption in Korea.

The court decided next date for the hearing in next week.

Samsung Chief Lee Denies All Charges Against Him as “Trial of the Century”

The defence lawyer of Lee denied corruption charges on his behalf and said that:

“The special prosecution’s indictment cites conversations, evidence or witnesses the prosecution did not actually hear, investigate or interview according to the rules — or states opinions that are not facts.”

The charges on Lee include around 48 major cases of bribes primarily linked with a friend of President Park, Choi Soon-sil.
