Samsung Galaxy A37 and A57 Camera Leaks Reveal These Upgrades

Samsung is reportedly working on two new mid-range smartphones. These are the Galaxy A37 and the Galaxy A57. While the Galaxy A36 and A56 were released in 2025, leaks about their successors have already started appearing online. The latest information focuses on the camera specs of Samsung Galaxy A37 and A57. The details suggest mixed results, with one phone receiving a significant upgrade and the other remaining largely unchanged.
According to leaked software data, the Galaxy A57 may come with a 50MP main camera. This camera is expected to use the Sony IMX906 sensor with a size of 1/1.56-inch. In some markets, Samsung may use its own ISOCELL GNJ sensor instead. Both sensors are similar, so users should not expect big differences between regions. Alongside the main camera, the phone may include a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP macro lens. For selfies, a 12MP front camera is expected.
Samsung Galaxy A37 and A57 Camera Leaks Reveal These Upgrades
Overall, this setup looks very similar to the Galaxy A56. That phone also offered a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro camera. Because of this, the Galaxy A57 feels more like a small refresh than a true upgrade. Many users were hoping Samsung would add a telephoto lens for optical zoom. Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the case. Rival brands are already offering better zoom options in this price range.
The Galaxy A37 appears to be more interesting. The leaked information suggests Samsung is planning a major improvement to the main camera. Like the A57, it may also use the 50MP Sony IMX906 sensor. This is a big step up from the Galaxy A36, which used a much smaller sensor. A larger sensor allows more light to enter the camera. This usually results in better night photos and improved detail.
Low-light photography should see noticeable gains on the Galaxy A37. Photos may appear brighter and cleaner, especially indoors or at night. A larger sensor can also help reduce motion blur. The camera does not need to keep the shutter open for as long, which helps capture sharper images of moving subjects. For a budget-friendly phone, this is a welcome improvement.

The secondary cameras on the Galaxy A37 remain modest. The phone is expected to include an 8MP ultra-wide camera using the Samsung GC08A3 sensor. There is also a 5MP macro camera for close-up shots. The selfie camera is tipped to be 12MP. While these cameras are unchanged, the improved main sensor may still make a big difference for everyday users.
The leak also hints at a possible launch timeline. Samsung may introduce the Galaxy A37 and A57 in February 2026. This would be slightly earlier than previous launches, which usually happened in March. In terms of performance, the Galaxy A37 is expected to run on the Exynos 1480 chip. The Galaxy A57 may feature the newer Exynos 1680 processor.
In short, the Galaxy A37 stands out as the more exciting option. Its upgraded main camera could offer better photo quality at a lower price. The Galaxy A57, however, seems to play it safe. While reliable, it may struggle to impress users looking for innovation.
