Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) Starts Getting Android 8.0 Oreo

Previously, it has been reported about the Galaxy J3 (2017), that Samsung has decided to delay the Android 8.0 Oreo roll out for the device until September. This information might still be accurate, because Samsung has started the roll out of Android 8.0 Oreo update to the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) but in limited regions.

Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) is Now Receiving Android 8.0 Oreo

The update in Galaxy J3 (2017) has only been spotted in Russia and the United Arab Emirates. If the update works in the device accurately and nothing wrong happens or no major issues are found during the testing, then it is to be expected that Samsung will start rolling out the update to more countries in near future.

However, the September time frame seems still be valid as testing a new Android OS update usually takes up to a month. The Android 8.0 Oreo update for Samsung Galaxy J3 brings new features with June and August 2018 security patch. The security update may vary region to region.

If you are in Russia, then you may receive the Android 8.0 Oreo on Galaxy J3 2017 with build number J330FXXU3BRH1, and UAE you will receive version J330FXWU3BRG3.

Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 (2017) are also ready to get the Orea update and soon these devices will have this update. These devices have already passed through WFA with Android 8.0 tag.
