Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Launch Date Confirmed for August 27

Samsung has confirmed the date for its next Galaxy smartphone launch, which could be the Galaxy S26 FE. The company will introduce a new member of the Galaxy S26 series on Thursday, August 27, during its “Galaxy Event August 2026.”

The event will begin at 12 pm UTC, and Samsung will livestream it through its official website and YouTube channel. Although Samsung has not revealed the name of the device, all signs point to the Galaxy S26 FE.

Samsung has not shared any official specifications for the upcoming phone yet. However, several leaks have already revealed details about what consumers can expect.

One of the biggest leaks came from the European Product Registry for Energy Labelling (EPREL). The leaked label reportedly gives the Galaxy S26 FE an A rating for energy efficiency and drop resistance. It also carries a C rating for repairability.

The phone is expected to support up to 1,200 charging cycles. Its battery is also said to provide around 50 hours of usage on a single charge. For comparison, the Galaxy S25 FE was rated for 2,000 charging cycles and offered around 42 hours and 37 minutes of endurance.

The Galaxy S26 FE is also expected to carry an IP68 rating. This would make the phone resistant to dust and water.

Exynos 2500 Could Be the Major Upgrade

The biggest change could come in the processor department. Reports suggest that Samsung will equip the Galaxy S26 FE with the Exynos 2500 chipset.

The processor upgrade has already been hinted at through a Google Play Console listing. If confirmed, the Exynos 2500 could give the new FE model a noticeable performance boost compared with its predecessor.

Other specifications and features have also appeared in recent leaks, including renders that offer a closer look at the phone’s design.

Samsung is expected to reveal the full details during next week’s event. The company will also announce the phone’s availability and other official information at the launch.
