Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Could Get a Price Hike of Up to $100

Samsung Galaxy S26 Series could get a price hike soon. A new report claims that the company may raise prices in South Korea by around $100, although Samsung has not officially confirmed the change yet.

The Galaxy S26 lineup launched in February 2026. The series includes the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. At launch, the base Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ were slightly more expensive than their predecessors, while Samsung kept the Ultra model at the same starting price in the US.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Could Get a Price Hike of Up to $100 in October

According to a report from South Korean publication Hans Economy, Samsung could increase Galaxy S26 prices in South Korea from October 1.

The reported price changes are significant. The Galaxy S26 could see its price rise from 1,254,000 won to 1,403,600 won. The Galaxy S26+ could increase from 1,452,000 won to 1,601,600 won. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could go from 1,797,400 won to 1,947,000 won.

Based on current conversions, these increases would bring the prices to roughly $1,040 for the Galaxy S26, $1,188 for the Galaxy S26+, and $1,444 for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

For comparison, the US launch prices of the three models were $899, $1,099, and $1,299, respectively.

Rising Component Costs Behind the Possible Increase

The reported price adjustment appears to be linked to rising costs for smartphone components. Manufacturers are facing higher expenses for key hardware parts, which could put additional pressure on smartphone prices.

Samsung is reportedly reviewing its pricing strategy as component costs continue to increase. The company may also be considering the recent price changes made by Apple.

Apple has raised prices for some of its latest iPhone models. The iPhone 17 lineup now starts at $899 in the US, while the latest iPhone 18 Pro models have also become more expensive.

Will Galaxy S26 Prices Increase in the US?

It remains unclear whether Samsung will introduce similar price increases in other markets, including the US.

A $100 increase across the Galaxy S26 lineup could make Samsung’s flagship phones considerably more expensive compared with Apple’s latest iPhones. This could make a US price hike less likely, although Samsung could still adjust prices depending on market conditions.

For now, the reported increase appears to be limited to South Korea.

Samsung Says Price Increase Is Not Final

Samsung has responded to the report and said that it has not finalized any price increase for the Galaxy S26 series.

The company said it has not issued an official notice about a price adjustment. However, Samsung acknowledged that it is internally reviewing its pricing because of higher component costs.

This means the reported October 1 price increase is not confirmed yet. Samsung could still decide to keep the current prices or introduce a different adjustment.

Customers should therefore wait for an official announcement before assuming that the Galaxy S26 series will become more expensive.
