Samsung Galaxy S7 Not to Receive Android 8.0 Oreo

From last few days we were listening the news about some devices which were receiving the Android 8.0 Oreo. It was also in the news that soon Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will get the Android 8.0 Oreo update.

If you are owning Galaxy S7 or S7 edge and were waiting for Android 8.0 Oreo update. Then there is a bad news, because unfortunately it seems that it didn’t last too long. So, if you did not get the update yet, then there are chances you won’t receive it soon.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Will Not Receive Android 8.0 Oreo

Samsung has decided to put the Android Oreo rollout on hold, as it wants to focus to fix some of the issues that many Galaxy S7 owners has reported. After that company might roll out the update. An official statement issued by Samsung has confirmed the deployment of the update has been put on hold.

Samsung has mentioned in a statement:

Following a limited number of cases where Galaxy S7 devices have rebooted unexpectedly with the Android 8.0 Oreo, we have temporarily stopped the rollout of the update. We are investigating the issue internally to ensure that the impact to the affected devices is minimized and the rollout of the update can resume as quickly as possible.

The reboot issues only affect the international Galaxy S7 variants. However, In case you have already updated to Android 8.0 Oreo and your handset Galaxy S7 is affected by the reboot issues, then you should go to a local Support Centre otherwise do a factory data reset using the Recovery Mode.
