Samsung Galaxy Watch Accidentally Leaked
The Samsung Galaxy watch was leaked at the hand of a little accident as a picture, model number and the name of the device was visible on the official Samsung website. Samsung was quick to delete the listing but fortunately screenshots had already been taken before that happened.
Samsung Galaxy Watch: What we Know
The listing, thereby, confirmed rumors that Samsung would discard the ‘Gear’ tag and simply name the smartwatch ‘Galaxy Watch’. The model number appears to be unlike anything we have seen in the past. But the R800 series number does match with recent filings, suggesting that this watch is probably only a variant.
Rose gold seems to be chosen as the color for the watch, slightly contradicting rumors that Samsung will opt for a more traditional gold. This new watch appears to have a touch more class and luxury than the ones before it. This will take away some of the sporty aspect which may not be welcomed by all the sporty folks out there.
Some rumored features of the Samsung Galaxy Watch include Bixby as voice assistant, along with a much improved battery life. The accident did not reveal to us the cost (rumored to be around $350), specifications or any other photo, but it is almost certain that the new watch will come in rose gold and by the name of Galaxy watch instead of Gear S4. The watch is expected to be launched along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 on the 9th of August.
