Slimmer designs with improved durability

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is Samsung’s thinnest foldable yet, measuring just 4.1mm when unfolded. It also folds into a compact shape that feels similar to carrying a regular smartphone.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 is slightly thicker at 4.5mm but is the lightest Fold model Samsung has released so far. It features a wider design that makes reading and working on documents more comfortable.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip8 is the smallest and most portable device in the lineup. At only 6.1mm when unfolded, it is designed for users who want a compact phone that easily fits into a pocket.

Both Fold models include Samsung’s new Flex Titanium display structure and Armor Flex hinge for added durability and smoother folding.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra features the largest display ever on a Samsung foldable, offering an 8-inch main screen along with a 6.5-inch cover display. It also reaches up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, making the screen easier to view outdoors.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 comes with a 7.6-inch inner display featuring a 4:3 aspect ratio that is well suited for reading, editing documents, and multitasking. Its 5.5-inch cover display lets users access important apps without opening the phone.

For users who prefer a flip-style design, the Galaxy Z Flip8 offers a 6.9-inch main display and an upgraded 4.1-inch FlexWindow cover screen. The cover display now supports more apps, allowing users to perform everyday tasks without unfolding the phone.

All three foldables come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, delivering improved performance and on-device AI processing.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra packs a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging and 20W wireless charging. Samsung says it can provide up to 27 hours of video playback.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 includes a slightly smaller 4,800mAh battery while keeping the same charging speeds and offering up to 26 hours of video playback.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 features a 4,300mAh battery with 25W wired charging and supports up to 31 hours of video playback, making it the most efficient option for media consumption among the three devices.

Galaxy AI brings smarter productivity

Samsung has introduced several new Galaxy AI features across the Fold8 and Flip8 series.

Now Nudge delivers context-aware suggestions during conversations, helping users complete tasks without switching between apps. Gemini Notebook organizes meeting notes, documents, and photos into structured summaries, while Agentic Automation can complete multi-step tasks such as booking travel or making reservations across supported apps.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 also includes Now Brief, which provides useful updates and recommendations directly on the FlexWindow cover display.

Samsung is also offering six months of Google AI Pro with every Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Flip8 device.

Enterprise-grade security

Security remains a key focus for Samsung’s latest foldables.

The devices include Samsung Knox, Knox Vault, and Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP), which help secure passwords, biometric information, and sensitive business data.

IT administrators can also use AI Control through mobile device management (MDM) to decide how AI features operate, limit cloud data sharing, and manage AI assistants such as Gemini, Perplexity, and Bixby within enterprise environments.
