Samsung is working on the next flagship Note 8, and it is expecting that it would be better device than S9 & S9+. According to The Korea Herald Samsung might come to know that how to fix a fingerprint sensor underneath the glass display.
The Korean conglomerate’s display arm, has presented three or four solutions to fix the fingerprint sensor inside of the main display” for the Note 9, for Samsung Electronics.
Samsung Note 9 May Not Come with On-Screen Finger Print Sensor
But new reports are not supporting the in display fingerprint sensor news for the Note 9. New reports claimed that Samsung would ditch putting fingerprint sensor in the screen and that is because of challenges of responsiveness and accessories.
However, Samsung is under pressure to embed the fingerprint sensor underneath the glass display as Chinese phone makers Vivo has already released phones with in-display readers.
In future of biometric security of phones might include facial recognition instead of fingerprints. Apple has removed its Touch ID fingerprint sensor in iPhone X and has introduced 3D face recognition through Face ID. However, Samsung‘s Galaxy S8 and S9 have came with 2D-based face-unlocking features and iris scanners, but they are not secured as the Face ID.
There were several Android devices have introduced at CES and Mobile World Congress with built-in fingerprint solutions. But most of them were slow compared to a physical sensor.
Let’s see that Note 9 would have this new technology of fingerprint sensor underneath the glass display or again it will ditch us as like we were expecting in Galaxy S9 & S9+. However, a sensor inside the screen would make free space for other components. Otherwise if Note 9 repositioned fingerprint sensor as Samsung did on the S9, then there should not need to be too upset about it. Because it’s better to have a reliable fingerprint sensor that works faster.
