Samsung to Sell 320 million Smartphones in 2018

According to a report that Samsung has sent this number to its suppliers. Other than that, Samsung has also plans to sell 40 million units of features phones, 20 million units of tablets and 5 million units of wearable devices.

The company has not have a higher target than last year due to saturation in the market. Otherwise, Samsung’s target is considerably more than that of its rivals Apple and Huawei. Because they sell around 200 million and 150 million smartphones annually every year.

It has been reported that Samsung’s main focus is on the smartphone market, but the company doesn’t want to be left behind in terms of tablets and wearable devices. While it seems that the company may focus on improving profitability by selling more premium handsets.

This year the first new devices that Samsung will sell are the new Galaxy A8 handsets. While in a couple of month it will then release the flagship Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. This most awaited series of Samsung smartphones will come with some premium features.
