These numbers are four times more than the 50 million. As mentioned above that Samsung has already supplied panels to Apple and price of each panel is roughly $110. So we can estimate that Samsung will make $19.8 to $22 billion revenue by supplying displays to Apple.
Compared to around 60 percent earlier this year, Samsung has achieved around a 90 percent yield rate, which means that it is getting more efficient at making OLED displays that live up to Apple’s strict quality standards.
It seems that Apple is likely to remain dependent on Samsung for supply of OLED displays next year, which is good news for Samsung in the immediate but by 2019 the company is reportedly investing billions into LG building OLED display production lines dedicated to the iPhone.
