SC Initiates A Probe Regarding Imran Khan Leaked Jail Photo
Sources reported that the Supreme Court administration has initiated a probe to find the culprit behind Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s leaked image, released by PTI showing IK attending a court hearing via video link on Thursday.
Reports claim that Imran Khan requested to present arguments himself regarding amendments to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) laws. The ex-prime minister’s appearance came after the bench, led by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa and comprising Justice Aminuddin Khan, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Justice Athar Minallah, and Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi, approved his plea.
Since his arrest in Toshakhana reference, it is the first time that Khan has appeared in the apex court for a hearing. Previously, the Supreme Court broadcasted the proceedings of the case live. However, today’s hearing wasn’t. PTI leaders have requested the authorities to restart the live broadcast of the case proceedings. SC authorities have reportedly begun investigations into the matter.
“Directions have been issued to review the CCTV footage and identify the person who captured the image. After this, the frame size of the video link was minimized.”
As a consequence of the viral photo, several adjustments have been made. The size of the video feed featuring Imran Khan during court proceedings has been reduced. Police will take action against the culprit as this was done in violation of the courtroom rules. Let’s wait and watch what comes next. Stay tuned for more updates.
