SCO Refuses to Extend Biometric SIM re-verification Deadline

The Special Communications Organisation (SCO), the cellular and telecommunication regulator in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan, has refused to extend the deadline for bio-metric verification of SIMs.

It has said that SIMs that have not been biometrically verified will be blocked after February 26. All SCO verification points will remain open from 9am to 8pm till February 26 for verification. Thousands of SIMs have yet to be verified in the regions, while a few hundred verification requests have been rejected as the authority could not verify their thumb impressions.

So people in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan have to verify their SIMs before 26th Feburary. Because the SCO does not extend the verification date. Moreover all SCO verification centers will remain open from 9 AM to 8 PM till February 26 2015. So you can register your SIM also on 26th February.
