Secretary General ITU Appreciates PSEB Efforts in Pakistan. The ITU Telecom World 2016 started on 14th November. Secretary General ITU visited Pakistan pavilion at ITU World 2016 Thailand. PSEB, Director International Marketing Sulman Hassan represented Pakistan.

The Secretary General ITU Houlin Zhao highly appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) in Pakistan.

Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), facilitates IT companies’ growth by enabling access to equity and debt-financing. And by fostering an entrepreneurial culture. The aim of PSEB is to support and sponsor the IT industry of Pakistan both locally and globally. And to make Pakistan one of the favored IT outsourcing destinations in the world.

It targets the development of specialized fields, such as ERP for SMEs, and open source technologies, to create a snowball affect.

The organization also sponsors industry perspectives with a number of Government agencies.

All PSEB activities are part of an incorporated strategy and action plan. Its task is to accomplish fast track growth of the Pakistani IT industry from 2.8 billion dollars in exports and domestic revenue to 5 billion dollars by 2020 from IT and IT-enabled services.

Different ICT experts and entrepreneurs from all over the world attended the ITU 2016 that concludes today.

ITU is the UN global platform for governments, corporates and SMEs to speed up ICT innovations for social and economic development.
