SEGO’s Nationwide Rollout Gains Momentum with Latest Smartphone Launches

The new mobile phone brand SEGO continues its nationwide rollouts with launch events held in major cities, including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. The company recently hosted an exclusive novelty dinner at Serena Hotel in Islamabad. It was attended by stakeholders from the mobile industry, including mobile dealers, e-commerce representatives, and other dignitaries.
During the event, SEGO’s CEO, Mr. Zeeshan Yousuf, shared his excitement about the company’s rapid growth and the positive reception of its smartphones. “SEGO has exceeded our expectations with an extraordinary start. While the Lahore event focused on an immersive brand experience featuring the SEGO Experience Museum, tonight’s dinner in Islamabad is a token of appreciation for our valued partners and extended SEGO family,” he said.
Moreover, Zeeshan highlighted SEGO’s people-first approach, stating, “We like to keep our events one-on-one to gather valuable feedback from industry leaders. The response to our handsets has been nothing short of phenomenal.”
SEGO has already unveiled 2 smartphones in the market, with one anticipated launch in the next week. Here are the brief details of the two phones.
Zero 50:
SEGO’s Zero 50 is designed for users seeking premium performance and features. The smartphone features a 6.67-inch FHD+ 3D AMOLED display, which we don’t normally see in this price range. Performance-wise, it is equipped with a MediaTek G99 processor, which offers adequate performance.
The Zero 50 is powered by a 5000mAh battery and 33W fast charging. It features 256GB of internal storage paired with 24GB RAM (including 16GB extended RAM) for seamless multitasking.
For photography enthusiasts, the Zero 50 offers a triple rear camera system, including a 64MP main sensor, a precision camera, and an EcoView lens. The 32MP front camera guarantees sharp and vibrant selfies. The smartphone also features an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual microphones, and advanced sensors that add to its appeal.
Price: Rs 49,999/-.
Smart9HD (Budget King)
SEG has also introduced the Smart9 HD for users looking for affordability without compromising essential features. This budget-friendly device is equipped with a MediaTek quad-core processor paired with 4GB RAM (including 2GB extendable) and 64GB storage.
To make tradeoffs with price, the smartphone comes with a 4000mAh battery and Type-C 10W charging. Its triple AI camera system, led by a 13MP sensor, ensures decent photography capabilities, while there is an 8 MP camera for selfies. The Smart9HD is a decent option for customers with an under Rs 15k budget.
Price: Rs 15,000/-.
S24:
SEGO is set to launch the S24 next week, expected to be priced under PKR 25k. The S24 will feature a 6.7-inch HD+ Hole Punch Display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 500 nits peak brightness. It will powered by the MediaTek G91 processor, which is a budget chipset.
The smartphone will offer 12GB RAM (4GB physical + 8GB extended) and 128GB ROM, providing ample storage. Moreover, the smartphone is expected to arrive with 50MP triple AI rear cameras, and a 13MP selfie camera, delivering sharp and detailed images. There will be a standard 5000mAh battery and 18W Type-C fast charging.
Future Plans & Local Commitment
SEGO plans to launch four more smartphone models in the first quarter of 2025. It is the only official Pakistani brand directly partnered with MediaTek to procure quality chipsets. All SEGO phones are locally assembled in Pakistan. The company offers a 12-month warranty and operates 200 service centers nationwide, ensuring reliable after-sales support.
However, it is pertinent to mention here that the Pakistani smartphone market is highly competitive. There are several notable players in the market which are offering quality smartphones at affordable prices. Therefore, SEGO will have to come up with out-of-the-box business and market strategies to gain a respectable market share.
