Last year Sharp introduced a phone with a tiny camera notch on the top edge call, which is known as the Aquos R Compact. The phone came with a humongous bezel on the bottom for a fingerprint sensor but it didn’t look good. This year the company is focused to increase the screen size while keeping the fingerprint sensor. That means the Aquos R2 Compact will have two notches.
Sharp is Introducing the First Phone with Two Notches
The phone’s screen has a 5.2-inch 2280 x 1080 IGZO LCD that wraps around the camera and comes with the fingerprint sensor. The phone is packed with a Snapdragon 845 processor with 4GB of RAM, Android 9 Pie, a 22.6-megapixel camera, and a 2,500mAh battery.
It is not necessary that everyone will like this new phone with the dual notches and the design will be so great but this is the most high-end Android phone. This new phone has a small screen and a modern bezel-less design. The previous Aquos R Compact came with a mid-range Snapdragon 660 processor but as mentioned above that this new phone will have Snapdragon 845 processor.
It is to be expected that R2 Compact might be available in Japan in mid-January, but there is no any information about the price of the phone yet.
