Shazam’s CEO informed the Wall Street Journal that the company is still referring 1 million clicks every day to streaming facilities like Spotify, Apple Music and others who do pay it for the traffic and adaptations when they make a purchase. But now publicity income is more for Shazam than other sources.
Advertisements on Shazam are displayed. Whereas app users scan their environment to recognize a song or other media like TV shows. The ads on display often have nothing to do with music.
Shazam upraised $30 million in equity funding early last year at which point the company’s estimate had exceeded $1 billion.
The company has been boarding on corporations with other app manufacturers and social media platforms in a venture to increase commitment and keep winning over users.
