Sindh Police WhatsApp Helpline & Facebook Page Launched for Ensuring Safety to Citizens

Everyone knows that Karachi is called “rising space for crimes”.  Government and other organizations are trying their best to cope with this situation in Sindh. In a line of such security measures, a WhatsApp helpline and social media page is initiated for the safety of citizens who belong to Sindh. Sindh Police WhatsApp Helpline is the best thing for citizen to communicate with police.

How Sindh Police WhatsApp Helpline will Help Curbing Crimes

Now citizens of Karachi would be relieved and will easily engage with police due to the official WhatsApp helpline and Facebook page by the local Police force.

According to Sindh Police, the WhatsApp helpline and social media page will help them to address their citizens abruptly and in a better way than before. They also plan to have Rapid police patrolling squad to provide better security to the city.

This news was announced by Karachi Range Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) Dr Amir Ahmed Shaikh. Mr Amir also told media that they have requested Chief Minister Sindh for CCTV network all over Karachi.  CCTV cameras are already operational in other major cities of Pakistan as a part of Safe City project.

He told that Karachi police lacks in manpower due to which they are not able to provide effective policing in Karachi. While discussing this issue, he said that:

“From 2011 till date more than 546 police personnel have been martyred in the line of duty”

This is not the first step by Sindh Police to provide security to the citizens. previously to provide smart security in Sindh, Sindh Police was reportedly using Drone to acquire surveillance to work for efficiently. The police department had acquired six drones equipped with 25-megapixel high-definition cameras.
