Skype Call Recording Feature Rolls Out For Android & iOS Users
Microsoft has recently upgraded Skype by adding the highly anticipated feature of call recording. This new feature is a part of the latest version of Skype. It is available on all supported platforms except Windows 10. Users on Windows 10 will have to wait to avail call recording on their desktops. Skype Call Recording Feature will let all the Android and iOS users to enjoy the recording of the calls.
Skype Brings New Skype Call Recording Feature In Its Latest Update
The Skype team made an announcement in July that Android and iOS devices will get the advanced functionality of call recording. After rolling out the new feature Skype wrote in a blog post that:
“Today, we’re introducing call recording to help capture special moments in a Skype call with your loved ones or record important meetings with your colleagues”
Here Are The Steps To Record The Calls On Skype
To start recording calls on the Mac-based desktop or mobile devices, you need to do the following steps:
- Click the “+” sign on the user interface
- Select the Start recording option
However, the screen recording option will not be secretive. Skype will show a banner on your screen to let everyone in the video call know that you’ve started recording the conversation. So, all people involved in a conversation will know that their call is on a recording. In addition to that, you can post the recorded calls to your chat within 30 days. You can also share the recording with your contacts at any time during the time period of 30-days.
To save the recorded Skype calls you will have to follow the steps written as follows:
- Click the three-dot More options button from your chat
- Select Save to Downloads option.
- Alternatively, you can also select the Save as on your desktop to save the recording to your specific destination.
- You just need to tap and hold the recorded call in the chat and then tap Save from the pop-up menu in mobile devices.
Skype saves the recordings in MP4 format. The recording will automatically download and save to your device’s camera roll. Explore its more options by checking out your own Skype App.
