Smart Security: SMS App Introduced by Sindh Rangers for School Security

Sindh Rangers has announced to provide “Smart Security” to the Sindh schools by launching a cellphone application for the security. Recently a press conference was held by a senior Rangers official Colonel Qaiser, who announced that application has been designed by the government which will help educational institutions in the metropolis alert law enforcers in case of an emergency.

He also said that:

“In case of any emergency or untoward situation, the head of the educational institution is advised to send a message to the system,”

Providing the details Mr.Qaiser said that the project named as “Rangers School College Protection System” has almost 3,000 schools registered with the system. Other schools can also apply for induction into the system.

The triggering incident for the Rangers to develop this App was the Bacha Khan University attack. After covering the schools and educational institutes, Rangers aim to provide security to hospitals, shopping malls and media houses.

Ranger Forces have requested citizens to send information about terrorism, extortion and any kind of illegal or suspicious activity to their WhatsApp number 0316-2369996 or email them at [email protected]. The force is also able to curtail such activities in the city with people’s support through their telephone helpline 1101.
