Social Media Reports of Islamabad Motorways Reopening on September 27 Declared False

Reports circulating on social media about the reopening of major motorways leading to Islamabad on September 27 have been declared false. The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) said that the M-1, M-14 and E-35 routes remain closed and no final decision has been announced regarding their reopening.
According to the Motorway Police, the roads remain closed due to law and security arrangements. Authorities have not issued any official notification confirming that these routes will reopen for traffic.
The M-1 motorway connects Islamabad with Peshawar and is an important route for travellers between the federal capital and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The M-14 links Hakla with Dera Ismail Khan, while the E-35 connects the Hazara region with other parts of the country.

The continued closure of these major roads is affecting traffic movement, particularly for people travelling towards Islamabad and nearby areas. Some connected sections of the road network are also affected by the ongoing restrictions.
The Motorway Police has advised citizens and travellers to check the latest traffic situation before starting their journey. Travellers should rely on official announcements for information about road closures and reopening rather than unverified posts circulating on social media.
The authorities have also urged motorists to follow traffic rules and instructions issued by the Motorway Police while travelling. Any changes to the status of the affected roads will be communicated through official channels.
Motorists planning to travel towards Islamabad are therefore advised to confirm the road situation before leaving to avoid unnecessary delays and inconvenience.
