Telenor Launches Pakistan’s 1st VoLTE

Now you can experience the HD voice quality and instant call connectivity. Yes, Telenor has proudly launched Pakistan’s 1st VoLTE enabled network. Initially, it is starting from Islamabad. VoLT services are available on any device that is supporting 850 MHz bandwidth. It is also working on Telenor 4G devices.

Via VoLTE technology, consumers can make calls via a 4G data network, rather than switching to 2G or 3G network, that means users will be able to use voice and data at the same time along with the better voice quality.

VoLTE stands for voice over LTE. It is a standards-based technology that is supporting voice calls over an LTE network that ensures high-quality voice using the advance IMS core solution. VoLTE primarily works on IP-based networks and is only supporting packet switching.

With VoLTE, anyone who uses 4G will find their battery life increased. Moreover, when you make or receive a call your phone has to switch from 4G to 2G or 3G and once the call is finished it switches back again.
