Telenor Pakistan Changes Executive Management – Appointment of Chief Digital and Finance Officers

Current Digital Officer of Telenor Pakistan, Durdana Achakzai resigned from Telenor last week and will leave the company in December. Following it, Telenor has appointed Sardar Abubakr as its Chief Digital and Strategy Officer. He will acquire the office from the 1st December 2018.
Currently, Abubakr is in charge of two divisions, Strategy & Transformation (CSTO) and Finance (CFO). Due to the new appointment, Abubakr will be giving up a CFO role. To fill the position of CFO, Telenor has appointed Marius Gigernes as CFO of Telenor Pakistan.

Abubakr is a graduate of Harward Business school and INSEAD, working in Telenor since 2005, with an expertise in the Maldives with Cable & Wireless Communications. Gigernes is working with Telenor since 2003 looking after the financial reporting & analysis roles in the company.
CEO Telenor, Irfan Wahab while congratulating both said:
