Telenor introduces a Smart MAX pretty decent phone featuring efficient specs and beautiful shape which will definitely attracts you. The smartphone is packed with 4.5” FWVGA IPS display; 1.3 GHz quad core chip is embedded inside it and capable enough of running any kind of applications. Telenor Smart Max has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM; however the secondary memory is expandable upto 32 GB. The smartphone has 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and same camera lens is on the front for selfie. Telenor Smart Max packs 1800 mAh battery which is removable. Price tag is pretty pleasant in fact Telenor will give promotional Rs.600 free balance and internet for six months on purchase of this smartphone. It is available at the price of Rs. 7,190 in Pakistan.
The smart device is shipped in black color box with all essential accessories like hands free, data cable and travel charger.

Design and Display of Telenor Smart MAX:
Telenor smart Max carries 4.5” FWVGA IPS display on the front; the screen supports 2-point capacitive touch. It has 480px screen resolution with 240 dpi. The brightness is controlled by light sensor. The screen touch is pretty responsive and gives fast response. The smooth touch helps in typing and playing games where you have to make quick moves.
The smartphone has plastic body with smooth curved edges, the sides have shiny metallic color and hold different ports and buttons. The back side has black cover which is curved from edges and give premium look to the smartphone, further the back cover is also removable and there is oval shape cutout for back camera and flash light. The speaker is placed at bottom left corner.
On the right side, the power button is housed. The opposite side i.e. left side contains volume keys and both the physical buttons work fine and has good response.
On the top side of Telenor Smart Max, the audio jack is placed however the bottom is home to microUSB port and microphone.
Processor of Telenor Smart MAX:
Telenor Smart Max boosts an average performing spreadtrum SC7731 processor. The processor works with 1.3 GHz Clock speed and easily manages 2 or 3 apps without any lags. The processor has not heating issue while running heavy apps or charging. The processor has embedded GPS module and modem for handling network data. To control the display and all the graphics matter, there is Mali-400 MP GPU which accelerates all the images and videos that are to be appeared on the screen.
Memory for Telenor Smart MAX:
Well, Telenor Smart Max comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM. It seems OK with memory sections, the main memory is enough to run your application smoothly until you load heavy app, it can also run heavy app but will take some time to load it into main memory. The internal storage is enough to manage your apps data however if you need more space, don’t worry you will not run out of space, the smartphone has microSD slot and it accepts upto 32 GB memory card.
Camera of Telenor Smart MAX:
Telenor Smart Max has 5.0 MP lens on the back as well as on the front, the picture quality is good but we cannot call it a true 5 MP camera. The cameras don’t have focus options. The camera app has access to gallery to check the captured images.
Rear Camera of Telenor Smart MAX:
Telenor Smart Max is packed with 5 MP lens along with LED flash, the camera resolution is 3264 x 2448 pixels. The camera module is not upto the mark, the images captured with camera are blurry and noisy. Well, my final verdict would be bold and straight forward about camera quality, the poor camera quality.
Front Camera of Telenor Smart MAX:
As the both front and back have same 5MP lens, so you can check the quality in given images. The camera is capable of making HD video with 720p.
Network/ Connectivity of Telenor Smart MAX:
Telenor Smart Max is 3G enabled device which supports WCDMA network technology. Only SIM1 handle 3G network while SIM 2 works on GSM network which can carry 2G. The following are the frequency bands supported by the smartphone:
WCDMA: 900 / 2100
SIM1: 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
SIM2: 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
Other connectivity mediums are MicroUSB 2.0 port, Bluetooth, WiFi, FM Radio.
Battery Performance of Telenor Smart MAX:
Telenor Smart Max has 1800 mAh battery, the battery is removable and the battery consumption is low as the screen resolution is just 480px. It has decent standby time and lasts for two days on average usage. Messaging also sucks the battery because during messaging the mobile screen remains on. The battery has maximum 4 hours timing over 3G calling or browsing over the 3G network. Overall the battery is good for whole single day with normal daily usage.
Interface of Telenor Smart MAX:
The interface of Telenor Smart Max is simple and user friendly, the android smartphone users will be quite familiar with its interface. The home screen is flourished with beautiful wallpaper in the back ground. The smartphone has a bunch of pre-installed applications; which we often have to install like Facebook, WhatsApp, Viber and Google’s applications.
Antutu Bench-marking of Telenor Smart MAX:
The smartphone performance is checked with Antutu benchmark App. Telenor Smart Max performed very well during the test and managed to get 20K+ point; which is good and admirable performance expected from low level smartphone.The capacitive touch screen supports 2-point multi-touch, so that you can play game like Fruit Ninja, Candy Crush etc.

The final verdict about Telenor Smart Max, well, a good device for youngsters, students who usually can not afford expensive smartphone. Smart Max is equipped with average specs which can run almost all social media Apps including Whatsapp, Facebook etc. Yet there are some issue that could have been fixed like camera quality is not upto the mark.

Telenor Smart Max does not work on ROAMING.
I am outside Pakistan.
Roaming is enabled on my Telenor SIM but my Smart Max is dead & Telenor Pakistan is silent on my complaint, can use it as a Flash Light / Torch in night.
I think its is SmartPro with some enhancements , like better battery , camera and large screen….I own smart pro and its good as compare to the price….
