Thai Airways Resumed Its Operations From Lhr & Isb To Bangkok And Beyond
Thai Airways International has resumed its operations from Lahore and Islamabad to Bangkok and beyond.
First Flight Of Thai Airways Landed At Islamabad Airport
The first flight of Thai Airways landed at Islamabad International Airport from Bangkok. The Station Manager of Airways and senior officials of Pakistan Civil Aviation Division welcomed the passengers and crew members after landing in Islamabad. Khawaja Ghiasuddin, Senior Vice President (North Pakistan) Akbar Group of Companies and Sher Khan Senior Manager Thai Airways and Adnan Zia Khan were also present on the occasion.
Special Assistant to PM on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfiqar Hussain Bukhari congratulated the Airways management and said that “Thai Airways has always played an important role to promote tourism and its resumption of flight operation from Islamabad/Lahore to Bangkok will further bolster bilateral relations and particularly tourism”.
Bukhari said Pakistan has a massive potential to attract tourists and the government will promote tourism as a national cause to open the country for local and foreign tourists. Last year, the government relaxed the visa policy and offered online visas to visitors from 175 countries.
He said that:
“Tourism is a highly profitable sector and private enterprises should come forward to invest in this industry.”
Earlier, Airways has suspended the flight service to Islamabad and Lahore due to the closure of airspace.
