Last week we told you that when a message with a URL embedded is receive by iMessage, it will go online and generate a small thumbnail preview of the link. If the metadata is much larger than normal then iMessage will lock up the device. The device will freeze for a few minutes, after the link is sent, then most of the time, it resprings. The details of bug were shared by software developer and researcher Abraham Masri, he said that bug would allow others to freeze your iPhone with little more than a quick text message.

However Apple has now fix this issue. It has pushed out iOS 11.2.5, which patches the issue. with the release of iOS not only text bug will be fixed but also other bugs which were faced by iOS users.

The update fixes 10 security vulnerabilities, which include three kernel vulnerabilities that could allow applications to access restricted memory, another kernel bug that could allow an application to run arbitrary code, a bunch of audio.

Users of iOS will now get relief with iOS 11.2.5 as it will fix the annoying “text bomb” bug that allowed people to lock up your iPhone with a single text message.
