Samsung is all set to launch two new budget-friendly Android smartphones in the coming months. The company has decided to launch mid-range phones that will be the improved versions of current models of Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6. Samsung Galaxy J4 variant will be called Galaxy J4 Prime. On the other hand, Galaxy J6 will be named as Galaxy J6 Prime. These two Samsung Galaxy J Prime Phones will launch this fall.
Samsung Galaxy J Prime Phones Will Reportedly Pack Snapdragon Processors
The main difference between the current and upcoming phones, besides their names, will be the chipset inside them. The older versions contain Exynos chipsets while the upcoming Galaxy J4 Prime and J6 Prime are supposed to pack Snapdragon processors. They will run a slightly newer version of Android out of the box.
The upcoming phones will not come with Android 9 Pie on board. It is expected that the customers will get at least Android 8.1 Oreo instead of just standard Android 8.0 Oreo. The upcoming prime phones have already been listed on Samsung Vietnam’s support page.
Moreover, the Netherlands and Vietnam will be among the first countries that will get the Galaxy J4 Prime and Galaxy J6 Prime first. The price of the smartphones will most likely no more than €200. It’s still an expectation as there are no words by the company on its pricing and availability yet. We will certainly share the details when we will get more information about it.
