The Galaxy A56 has recently cleared multiple certifications in China, including one from TENAA, the country’s telecom regulatory authority. These certifications have provided official images, confirming previous leaks and revealing key design elements.

Redesigned Camera and Key Island Design

The TENAA listing showcases the Galaxy A56’s redesigned rear camera setup, which closely resembles the design seen on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This new design features a more streamlined camera bar with the LED flash positioned on the right.

The Galaxy A56 will also feature Samsung’s “Key Island” design, a raised platform on the side frame that houses the volume and power buttons. This design element has been previously used on other Galaxy A series models, including the A15, A25, and A55.

While the TENAA listing doesn’t reveal a comprehensive list of specifications, previous leaks and rumours provide a good overview of what the Galaxy A56 will offer:

Launch Timing and Availability

Given that One UI 7 will likely debut with the Galaxy S25 series later this year, the Galaxy A56 will launch sometime in March, similar to the Galaxy A55’s release last year.

It remains uncertain whether the Galaxy A56 will be available in all markets, including the US. Last year, Samsung opted not to release the A55 in the US to avoid competing with its existing S23 lineup and the S23 FE. A similar strategy may be adopted this year.
