Twitter Confirms Testing of it’s New Tweetstorm Feature. Twitter has recently confirmed the testing of a new feature that allows users to more easily create tweetstorms. Back in September, a developer discovered a hidden feature in Android’s Twitter app.
This new feature will allow Twitter users to type out several tweets and queue them to send one by one, making it easier for anyone to launch a tweetstorm without having to type and send each tweet individually.

It allows users to add multiple tweets to a single thread using a new “+” icon in the tweet composer. It is unclear if it limits you to a specific number of tweets. But this latest version of the feature appears each one has the same 280-character limit.
The newly introduced feature was spotted by Android Police.
Android Police reported:
The tweetstorm interface was popping up for some users of the Android alpha app, but said it wasn’t sure about the details surrounding the tests.
Twitter mentioned in a statement:
The tweetstorm feature has been in testing in both the alpha and beta programs on iOS and Android. The version shared by Android Police has been in testing for weeks, While the feature is not yet available to everyone or for public testing, the expansion of these tests hint this is something Twitter wants to bring to the public.
It’s amazing that tweetstorm has become just another way people use Twitter. By making it an official part of the app it seems that Twitter wants to help users to share thoughts in a more long-form by using it’s platform.
Twitter regularly tests new features but they don’t make public all of them.
