Twitter Cuts Number Of Accounts You Can Follow Per Day to Combat Spammers
All the social media giants are trying to make their platforms more secure for users. Facebook and WhatsApp are also incorporating new features to fight fake news spread by spammers. Joining the race, Twitter has also concluded a new way that will limit the spammers on its platforms. So, now Twitter is limiting the number of followers that can be added on an account on one single day which means that Twitter daily follows are lowered.
Twitter Daily Follows lowered to 400 from 1000
Previously, 1000 numbers of followers could be added in one day however now the number is changed. Now the cap is 400, this move is taken in order to prevent spammers from adding a large number of followers on its platforms and later on deleting them in bulk and uncritical manner. This way will not actually violate Twitter’s terms and conditions.
Follow, unfollow, follow, unfollow. Who does that? Spammers. So we’re changing the number of accounts you can follow each day from 1,000 to 400. Don’t worry, you’ll be just fine.Advertisement

So, many would be thinking that why the spammers add these followers? Basically, these snappers think that by adding these followers, many would follow them back. People who will follow them will find the number of spams on their timeline however if people do not follow them, they will be free.
Twitter has decided to limit the follower cap to 400 because it will allow people to follow accounts they are interested in but at the same time, they will halt the spams.
