Twitter Launches Windows 10 Mobile App

Many devices like Lumia 950, 950 XL, 650, 550, Xiaomi Mi4, and Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL have already shipped with Windows 10 Mobile. Twitter users can enjoy almost all the features on twitter including group Direct Messages, shoot, edit, and Tweet video while using the camera.

Universal Windows Platform (UWP) was used to redesign the twitter since last year. More than that Twitter for Windows easily adapts to different devices and smartphone screen sizes. On this Twitter product designer Angela Lam explained that;

“When bringing the app to mobile phones we carefully considered each section of Twitter and how the user interaction translates from desktops and tablets”

She further added that;

“We found that 90 percent of the UI and interaction models could be shared from these devices to mobile phones, but there were places where we decided to make adjustments to optimize for each”

The dark theme in the original Windows Phone app has been very popular among the users so the twitter company has included it in the latest release as well. Its theme is available on smartphones, desktops and tablets. They can be accessed by going to Settings and then Personalization. Users are expecting more features and improvements after this upgrading. Twitter has also given freedom of expression to the twitter users and through the trend #twitterforwindows  queries  can be asked directly from twitter.
