One of the best ride hailing services, Uber Completed 5 Billion Rides Globally. The Online cab services revealed that 156 trips were initiated simultaneously which marked the total 5 billionth trip in end May.

Uber has witnessed incredible growth to reach an impressive combined 5 billion rides. To appreciate the drivers who made this happen, Uber gave them $500.

Total 156 drivers globally helped Uber to achieve this milestone. Sardar Muhammad, a Muslim, Dubai based driver is very happy being a part of 156 drivers. He helped Uber reach the milestone on a trip to Dubai Mall.

Presently Uber is providing its services in more than 450 cities in total 76 countries. Uber had completed one million rides in May 2012 and 10 million rides by May 2013. The number rose to 57 million in May 2014 and 350 million in May 2015. The ride hailing cab maintained a good position by having 2 billion rides in June 2016.
This announcement has come at time when Uber is going through severe pressure. It is indeed coping with many unexpected developments such as its CEO Travis Kalanick resigned from the company. His responsibilities are under review and expected to be relocated.
