Uber Launches UberAuto Service in Karachi

Ride-hailing app, Uber, has recently started its Rickshaw services in Pakistan. Initially UberAuto was launched in Lahore. Now Uber Launches UberAuto Service in Karachi as well. UberAuto provides affordable rides in the respective city. In Karachi, UberAuto rides are available in Just Rs.1. min or Rs.3/KM. Not only this Uber users can enjoy 5 free uberAUTO rides up to Rs 75 for whole week till November 27th.

Uber Launches UberAuto Service in Karachi

After Lahore and Karachi, Uber is working to expand its Rickshaw servies in other cities of Pakistan as well. Uber said on its Official website:

“Every city is unique, with its own sights to see and roads to travel. Our aim at Uber is to adapt our technology to provide safe, reliable, and affordable transportation in each of the 500 cities Uber is available in. This is why we couldn’t be more excited to introduce uberAUTO, Pakistan’s first rickshaw service at the tap of an app is now available in Karachi.

Fare of UberAuto in Karachi:

• The newly launched service is priced at Rs. 35 as base fare, Rs. 3/km plus Rs 1/minute.
• Minimum Fare is Rs. 50

How to Avail the UberAuto Service:

• Download the Uber App from any App store and request a ride from the app.

As compared to Lahore UberAuto fare, Karachi riders have to pay less. Because in Lahore base fare is Rs. 45 while in Karachi base fare is Rs.35. Similarly fare of per KM ride in Lahore is Rs. 4 while in Karachi it is Rs.3.

Surely Uber’s move will give a tough competition to Rickshaw ride local startup, Rixi. It is facilitating public by providing them with cheap auto rides that can be book just through SMS.
