Uber Wants Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg to be its Next CEO; the news appeared on many technology websites yesterday. The board of Uber company has approached the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Facebook, Sheryl Sandberg to run their company as CEO after the resign of Travis Kalanick.

Where as presently, the situation is not clear as some other names are also being rumored for the position of Uber’s CEO. Various international websites mentioned that Disney’s COO “Tom Staggs” can also become the CEO of Uber as Staggs was already interviewed in the company even before Kalanick’s exit.

Other women said to be on Uber’s list include Marissa Mayer, who just stepped down as chief executive of “Yahoo” after selling the search pioneer to Verizon. CVS executive Helena Foulkes, who reportedly had been a candidate to fill the No. 2 spot at Uber before Kalanick’s resignation, is also in the mix.

But majority of the blogs says that “Shery” is Uber’s first choice. according to one source briefed on the situation. Whosoever will be hired as the next CEO of Uber but the company needs to announce it as soon as possible but presently Uber is undergoing through many internal issues and only a good and effective leadership can save it from sinking.
