Ufone’s SHOQ Rewards Platform Goes Offline Following Technical Glitch

Telecom operator Ufone experienced a service disruption that temporarily made its digital rewards platform, SHOQ, unavailable, prompting the company to acknowledge a technical fault and assure customers that restoration work was underway.

In a customer advisory, Ufone said it was experiencing a technical issue due to which SHOQ had become temporarily unavailable.

“Our teams are working to restore the service as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience,” the company said.

The disruption affected users attempting to access the SHOQ platform, which provides digital rewards, promotional offers, and customer engagement services to Ufone subscribers.

The company did not disclose the nature of the technical issue, the number of users affected or an estimated timeline for the full restoration of the platform.

The outage comes as telecom operators increasingly rely on digital platforms and value-added services to strengthen customer engagement and retain subscribers in Pakistan’s competitive mobile market.

Although temporary outages on digital platforms can occur due to technical or infrastructure-related issues, prolonged disruptions may affect customer experience, particularly as telecom companies continue to expand their digital service portfolios. Ufone has said it is working to restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
